"Teaching is the choicest of professions because everybody who is anybody was taught how to be somebody by a teacher."

How true this quote is.  Teachers are the ones who help shape and mold the future leaders of tomorrow.  We encourage them and cheer for them as youngsters.  We guide them and teach them life lessons.  We wipe tears of frustration and soothe hurt egos.  We're super heroes!  We may not be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound or run faster than a speeding train but we can take dreams and help make them realities.  We can take the worst student and turn him into a model citizen in 9 months.  We teach more than reading, writing, math, and science.  We teach responsibility, morality, honesty, and integrity.  We earn the trust and respect of 150 (or more) simultaneously.  We deal with parents, principals, government officials, and others with style and grace.  We are TEACHERS.  People often ask me why did I become a teacher.  The pay sucks, kids are bad, and education is going down the drain.  My answer... I love teaching! Teachers have 1 of the hardest jobs in the world and it takes a special person to do it.  It is not for the weak hearted.  We may not get paid that much monetarily but seeing one of your students succeed and doing something great is far more rewarding because you know you made a difference in that child's life.  That's why I teach.
